1.YOU COULD WIN: One (1) of four (4) prize packages that include a $100 gift card to the Milwaukee ChopHouse or the Mason Street Grill, a ½ day Kayak or canoe rental package for 2 from Milwaukee Kayak Company, LLC., and a haircut and deep conditioning treatment from Salon Capricio. The Milwaukee Kayak Company certificate is valued at $50 and expires on September 15, 2013. The salon package from Salon Capricio has an estimated value of $60 each. The total value of each prize package is estimated at $210. There will be a total of 4 prize packages awarded. The prize package is for the gift cards and certificates outlined in these official rules and cannot be redeemed for cash.
2.NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, contestants must attend one of four Downtown Milwaukee events and obtain a secret clue or phrase from a downtown Milwaukee Public Service Ambassador at the Traveling Information Kiosk (TIK) OR obtain the secret clue or phrase from the Downtown Milwaukee website. Once a contestant knows the secret clue or phrase, they will be required to enter the contest at www.cbs58.com. The CYA Downtown clues will be given out at the following events: Thursday, July 25 (6-9pm) at Jazz in the Park at Cathedral Square Park, Wednesday, July 31 (6:30-9pm) at River Rhythms at Pere Marquette Park, Wednesday, August 7th (10am-3pm) at the Westown Farmers’ Market at Zeidler Union Square, and Saturday, August 17 (time T.B.D.) at the corner of Wisconsin and Prospect Avenue during Irish Fest. Each event will have its own CYA Downtown secret clue or phrase. Contestant will be required to visit cbs58.com after obtaining the CYA Downtown Milwaukee Clue. Eligible prize winners will be selected by a computer generated random drawing on the following dates: Monday, July 29 (for the July 25th clue), Friday, August 2 (for the July 31 clue), Friday, August 9 (for the August 7th clue) and Monday, August 19 (for the August 17th clue). Should an event be postponed or canceled for weather, or any other reason, Downtown Milwaukee shall have the right, but not the obligation, to create an additional event during the contest period to present a CYA Downtown Milwaukee clue.
3.ELIGIBILITY. Contestants entering must be 18 or older. Winner is responsible for any and all taxes associated with the winning of a prize. Contestants cannot be an employee or immediate family member of CBS-58, Weigel Broadcasting Co., Downtown Milwaukee, The Mason Street Grill, The Milwaukee ChopHouse, the Milwaukee Kayak Company, LLC, Salon Capricio, or any affiliated business or companies associated with this contest. An immediate family member shall be defined as a brother, sister, husband, wife, son, daughter, or anyone living in the household of the employee. Other eligibility requirements apply, as stated elsewhere in these rules.
4.HOW TO WIN. Contestants of the CYA Downtown Milwaukee contest must correctly enter the CYA Downtown Milwaukee secret word or phrase at www.cbs58.com during the contest period. Contestants may enter one time for each CYA Downtown Milwaukee secret word or phrase.
5.ODDS OF WINNING. The daily entrants’ odds of winning are determined by the number of eligible entries in this contest.
6.PRIZE MUST BE USED before any expiration date printed on the gift card certificate. Failure to use the prize during the designated period will result in the gift card or certificate becoming expired. Prizes can not be used after any expiration date. If a prize winner does not use a prize and the prize expires, no additional prize will be awarded.
7.PRIZES Station will be solely responsible for the awarding of the prizes associated with the CYA Downtown Milwaukee contest. None of the prizes are redeemable for cash and no transfer of prizes is permitted. CBS-58 makes no representations or warranties of any type whatsoever regarding the quality, functionality, safety, compatibility, and fitness for use or merchantability of any of the prizes.
8.AFFIDAVIT AND WAIVER All prizewinners may be required to provide his or her Social Security number and execute an affidavit of eligibility and such waiver and release forms as CBS-58 may, in its sole discretion, require. Failure to provide such information and to execute such forms when requested will result the forfeiture of the prize. Valid photo identification with proof of age and residency/ address is also required to claim prize. Failure to execute proper documentation shall result in the forfeiture of the prize by the winner. If, in accordance with these rules, the eligible winner does not claim a prize, that prize will not be awarded.
9.In the event of equipment failure, weather, or any other event or circumstance beyond the control of CBS-58, where it becomes impracticable for CBS-58 to award one or more of the prizes, CBS-58 may, in its sole and absolute discretion determine not to award any such prize(s). All decisions made by CBS-58 management concerning this and all other matters relating to the contest shall be final and binding in all respects on all contest participants. Prior to claiming their prize, each winner may be required to provide such proof of eligibility and to sign such waiver and release forms CBS-58, in its sole and absolute discretion, require, and any failure to do so shall result in the forfeiture of the prize. Winner is responsible for all taxes associated with any prize won. By claiming a prize, winner agrees that CBS-58 is authorized to use the winners name, voice, image and likeness in the promotion of this contest or contests CBS-58 or any other affiliated stations serving the Milwaukee television market, and CBS-58 may require any winner to execute such written documents as CBS-58 may, in its sole and absolute discretion, require evidencing the grant of such rights. Failure or refusal of any winner to execute such written documents upon request by CBS-58 will result in the forfeiture of the winner’s prize. CBS-58’s right to use a winner’s name, voice, image and likeness shall in all cases include the right to use video and audio recordings of the winner on television, cable television, internet, radio, newspaper and other media for promotional purposes. CBS 58 shall have the right to end the contest early , or modify this contest, the events listed for this contest are canceled or postponed for any reason
10.CBS-58 shall have the right to interpret and to modify these rules at any time and in any manner, and to terminate the contest prior to its conclusion at any time and for any reason, in CBS-58’s sole and absolute discretion, and without the award of any prizes, and all such determinations shall take effect upon announcement by CBS-58. If a contest rule is determined to be contrary to any law, that rule shall be of no force and effect, and all other contest rules shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be affected thereby. In the event that this contest is terminated for any reason, CBS-58 shall immediately end this contest with no additional obligation by CBS-58 or its presenters in the contest to any entrants.
11.CBS-58 and its sponsors and agencies, Downtown Milwaukee, The Mason Street Grill, The Milwaukee ChopHouse, the Milwaukee Kayak Company, LLC, Salon Capricio, and the owners, officers, directors, partners, presenters, managers, employees, principals and agents of any of them, have no responsibility or liability for any technical or other problems which arise or occur in connection with this contest, including but not limited to late, lost, illegible, incomplete, damaged, postage due or misdirected entry forms or prize claims; failure to conduct all or any portion of the contest due to programming changes/ conflicts, acts of God or any other reason whatsoever; or errors in any written materials or announcements relating to this contest. By submitting an entry form, entrants agree to be bound in all respects by these official contest rules and the decisions of CBS-58 regarding the contest. By accepting a prize, the prizewinner agrees to release CBS-58 and its entities and partners from any and all liability for claims, actions or proceedings for any damages or injuries sustained during or in connection with the winner’s participation in the contest or the winner’s receipt, ownership or use or nonuse of any prize. Winners consent to the use of their name, voice and/ image or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation to the maximum extent permitted by law. All entry forms become the property of CBS-58 and will not be returned. Entry forms are subject to verification by CBS-58 or its agents. Any attempt to forge contest materials and correspondence, or defraud CBS-58 in any way will result in disqualification and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent allowable by law.
12.In the event of war, acts of terrorism, bad weather, illness by talent, musicians strike, or any other event of any kind that would cause the postponement of Summerfest or this contest, CBS-58 shall have the ability to postpone or cancel this contest with no additional obligation to any contestant. In the event CBS-58 chooses to cancel this contest, even if the contest has begun, no prizes will be awarded.
13.Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in these rules, CBS-58 reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to award a prize to an alternate winner in the event that any winner fails to claim, take possession of or use a prize, is disqualified, or is for any reason determined by CBS-58 to be ineligible or not entitled to receive a prize, but CBS-58 shall have absolutely no obligation to award any prize to an alternate winner under such circumstances.
14.COPIES OF THE OFFICIAL RULES are available at CBS-58’s offices at 809 South 60th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53214. For a list of the names of those who had won, send a request, together with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: CBS-58, 809 South 60th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53214, attn: CBS 58 CYA Downtown Milwaukee Contest. Any request for winners’ names must be received by CBS-58 no later than August 30, 2013. For privacy reasons, only the first name and last initial, along with the city of residence of the daily winners will be released. No additional information about the daily winners will be provided
