1)SPONSOR. This contest is sponsored by CBS 58 at 809 S. 60th Street, Milwaukee, WI, 53214
2)ENTRY.
Purchase is not required to enter or win this Contest. The contest
begins on or about Tuesday, November 20, 2012 and ends Sunday, December
30, 2012 unless extended by CBS 58. Persons wishing to enter the
contest may do so on the CBS 58 Facebook page by completing an online
registration form. Participants have the chance to win the following
prize: one of ten (1 of 10) Prize Packages. The Prize Package
includes: a $50 gift card from Stein Garden and Gifts, two tickets for a
2013 “Next Act Theater” production (TBD), a Summerfest 2013 prize
package with a $50 gift card and Summerfest Commemorative Brick, and six
tickets for a tour of Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewer in
Milwaukee. Viewers who enter must also upload a photo of their
decorated holiday home. Only one (1) entry per person, per Facebook
account, will be accepted. Ten (10) winners will be selected by viewer
voting. During the contest, viewer’s family, friends, etc. can vote as
often as they wish for their favorite decorated home. The top 10 homes
by popular vote will win a prize package. If there is a tie for the
10th position in the voting, the final winner will be determined by a
computer generated random drawing between the tied contestants.
3)ELIGIBILITY.
The contest is only open to all legal residents of Milwaukee,
Wisconsin television viewing area (as defined by A. C. Nielsen) who are
18 years of age or older. Employees of CBS 58, Weigel Broadcasting Co.,
Stein Garden and Gifts, Next Act Theater, Summerfest, or Best Place at
Pabst Brewers, and each of their advertising agencies, consultants,
franchisees, suppliers, subsidiaries and family members are not eligible
to enter or win.
4)PRIZE.
CBS 58 guarantees that ten (10) winners will receive one (1) prize
package that includes the prizes mentioned in Section 2 of these rules.
The total value of the prize is $283.00. The odds of winning will be
determined y the total number of contest entries, as well as the
participation of viewers voting during the contest. Any selected winner
who cannot be contacted by the end of business on Friday, January 11,
2013 to confirm their selection after an initial phone call to the
number listed on their entry, or to an email sent to the winner to
verify the prize, may be disqualified and an alternate contestant may be
selected from the remaining eligible entries and notified. The
prizewinner must possess a valid picture ID to claim their prize.
5)PRIZE
RESTRICTIONS. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for
cash. All prizes must be picked up at CBS 58, located at 809 S. 60th
Street, Milwaukee, WI. There will not be any substitutes or cash
redemptions awarded to the contest winner. By entering, the winner
shall consent to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical
information for advertising and promotional purposes related to the
contest, without additional consideration.
6)DISCLAIMER
OF LIABILITY. The winner is responsible for income and other taxes on
their prize. The winner will be required to sign and return an
Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and Letter of
Indemnification upon receipt of their prize. Failure to comply with the
rules and conditions of the contest may result in a forfeiture of the
prize.
7)MISCELLANEOUS.
The decisions made by CBS 58 concerning any and all matters with
respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of computer or
telephone failure or any other circumstances beyond the control of CBS
58 where it becomes impracticable for CBS 58 to award the prize, CBS 58
may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any
such prize or any prize at all. CBS 58 reserves the right to modify
these rules at their sole discretion, even if the contest has begun.
CBS 58 is not responsible for replacing the prize as a result of events
beyond the control of CBS 58. This contest is void where prohibited,
penalized or otherwise restricted by law.
8)REQUEST A
COPY OF THE RULES. The official contest rules are posted online at
www.cbs58.com and available at the CBS 58 offices by calling
414-777-5800.
9)PRIZE
WINNERS. If you wish to receive the names of the Contest Prize winners,
you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to CBS 58 HOLIDAY
HOMES CONTEST, 809 S. 60th Street, Milwaukee, WI, 53214. To protect the
privacy of the winners, CBS 58 will only provide the first name and
last initial of the winner, as well as the city they live. CBS 58 must
receive all such requests no later than January 18, 2013.
